Loooong Time Passing

School and work have been collaborating to make it really difficult to get art up. After a looong hiatus, I should be back with the strip for… forever.

Here are some major changes that will be coming about:

-The Cross Forum will be up soon and ready to use
-There will be mirror sites available soon to access the comic
-Affiliates will be open soon
-A manga might be in the processes… Maaaaybe, with a major backstory
-Lettering will soon be all digital~!!!
-There will be more individual character art, pin-ups, wallpapers, and maps

Sooo, be on the lookout for the return of the comic, as well as a sharp increase in art quality. ^^ Once more, I am sorry for the wait and frustrations, and I hope I can make it up to you.

Crossed Out 2

Ah, nothing like the wrath of a woman to make you appreciate your mortal enemies… Good times… *sighs* good times…

Shaleigh has such nice, straight hair… we must wonder what it looks like in the morning… Now, this is only a small portion of her day… if you want more, please ask!

Also, could this be the same evil raccoon from Crossed Off 1??? :3 Hmm? Everything will be referenced! XD

Crossed Out 1

This is a comic for On the Prowl, and also the very first of the Crossed Outs~! Crossed Outs will be like a little supplement to the plotline or comic, but really not be a portion of the plot. It will never be referenced to in the Crossed Off strips. Basically similar to the filler comics at the end of a volume of manga, so a little bonus to my readers out here. They’ll be cropping up from time to time, usually in pairs.

Here, we have a nice use of irony, humor, reference, metaphor, simile, syntax, diction… English teachers love this stuff! 😀

One of my most ‘famous’ and favourited strips… I am fortunate to have a scan of it before it got ripped with the other artwork (notable in #3). Cross expresses his innocence about homework, and Shaleigh shows her abusive true colours…

Crossed Off 4

Cross likes eating. A lot. He’d eat all the time if he could, and he’d never gain weight, either. He’s ninja like that. Apparently, Shaleigh doesn’t like home food, but took the time to pack Cross a nice sack lunch. Considerate of her. Still, the vending machines will probably be shruiken’d open, or just lit on fire in his attempt to get a snack at some point later…

Does this sound like the semblance of a decent plot? It is, but don’t hold your hopes out for something about this showing up for another, oh, 15-18 strips or so… But everything ties in… >D

Crossed Off 3

Two important points to consider here: 1) Generic students. This will not happen for much longer, folks! *evil face* Secondly 2) I’m pretty sure that it’s not the fact that Cross is a ninja that’s causing all the alarm. An unregistered and armed teenager on campus? (assuming he is a teenager) That’s pretty serious biz, and that does not look like a letter opener…

But he is basically harmless, right?

Oh, another thing – I did base the school off of the original architecture. All you alumni and students, nostalgia?

Reading this now, it does sound rather creepy… But he is a ninja guardian; where is he going to live, in a box in her closet? Certainly not on her bed or on the floor!

Crossed Off 1

Wow… a year ago give or take two weeks, Crossed Off 1 was first inked. Can you believe that? So much has changed…

Shaleigh is only a freshman here, with fresh prospects on life, and an uncanny optimism… We’ll see what high school will do to someone like that, though if she turns out like Faerie Fanta from Faeries’ Landing, I would not be surprised.

Welcome to Crossed Off 2.0

Right now, it’s a baby website, but I’m hoping that with time and readership, this could go from a bi-weekly comic to a weekly comic, and maybe even a daily…

There will be some old and possibly familiar pieces from the school newspaper of OnTheProwl, and there will be new pieces. While I can’t promise anything, I’m trying to get digital, and also manga formating in the works, as well as a definitive plotline, and maybe colour…

What I can promise, dear readers, is more. More characters, new characters, more drama, more intenseness, more explosions, more fire, and maybe a hot pair in the works… >3 You’ll just have to read on and find out…
